Franco-German relations are more important than ever - be it on a political, economic or cultural level. It is often assumed that the two neighboring countries are very similar and therefore fewer cultural misunderstandings arise. Nevertheless, it can happen that different expectations of joint communication and cooperation slow down smooth processes.
In this half-day intercultural online training course, participants from the University of Strasbourg and the University of Bonn will get to know each other and use case studies and joint reflection to work out what constitutes successful communication for them and what is particularly important to them when working together. This discussion also leads to joint reflection on values and cultural influences that are perhaps not only “typically German” and “typically French”.
The University of Bonn will be represented at this event by several people, including Yvonne Bielefeld, management assistant at the Forum Internationale Wissenschaft.
