My current projects are concerned with various arenas and sites of the production and (e)valuation of academic knowledge and academics, touching on topics like disciplinarity, subjectivity, performativity, and social inequality.

These topics play an important role in my main project on professorial appointment procedures (funded by the German Research Foundation), and in other projects on academic obituaries (funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation) or the UK Research Excellence Framework.
